On May 10, SOFIFRAN had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration in Welland, bringing together close to 90 participants in a warm, festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
On May 10, SOFIFRAN had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration in Welland, bringing together close to 90 participants in a warm, festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
This special day gave mothers, children and families the chance to share precious moments through a variety of activities, music, conversation and a community meal full of flavour. The potluck, with its wide range of dishes, was a real highlight for everyone, and it showcased the cultural diversity and the spirit of sharing that define our francophone community.
The children also had a memorable time, making the most of the joyful, welcoming atmosphere throughout the event. The program included music by DJ Donlymix, as well as an educational talk led by Arnelle TCHAKO, an insurance and investment advisor. The discussion helped participants learn more about several important topics related to managing money and protecting the family, including disability insurance, a subject that drew a great deal of interest.
In all, 45 gifts were given to mothers to recognize the precious role they play in their families and in the community.
Among the many comments we received, Harmelle, one of the mothers who attended, said how pleased she was with the way the event was organized, with the music and with the quality of the gifts. She also noted that she learned important new information during the talk on finances. In her view, this kind of initiative allows SOFIFRAN to make a real difference in the community by creating opportunities for families to meet, share and connect. SOFIFRAN warmly thanks all the volunteers, partners, participants and collaborators who helped make this beautiful celebration for mothers such a success.
