African doughnut recipe demonstration
We are pleased to announce our first hands-on session on African doughnut recipes with the women who have registered. The event takes place on Saturday, March 16 at 3 p.m. in the kitchens of Holy Trinity Church, at 77 Division Street, Welland.
The project in detail
It is with immense pride and deep honour that SOFIFRAN presents its African beignet recipe book, a project imagined, developed and completed thanks to the collaboration of Francophone immigrant women in Niagara.
The book is a testament to the talent, the creativity and the resilience of women who, through their skill and their passion, have brought together culinary traditions and intercultural exchange. It is a tribute both to their roots and to the richness of the diversity that makes us strong.
SOFIFRAN wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the FACC program at Canadian Heritage, whose financial support was essential to this project. We also thank the publishing house L’Empreinte du Passant for its expertise, the participants who generously shared their recipes and their stories, and the many collaborators without whom this project would never have come to life.
