Looking back at the November 2, 2025 activity, National Francophone Immigration Week 2025

Niagara celebrates Francophone diversity! The Comité local en immigration francophone de Niagara supported the event organized by SOFIFRAN at Welland City Hall, as part of the 13th National Francophone Immigration Week, held under the theme “Thank you for enriching our Francophonie”. The gathering was a chance to share the progress of the Canal Sofifran project, a Francophone community television channel now in development. Made possible by $95,800 in funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, the project aims to offer a media space devoted to cultural diversity and Francophone inclusion in the Niagara region.
