Students at Toronto Ouest took part in a djembe workshop led by a professional musician, as part of the Les Voix du futur project.
Activity held as part of the Les Voix du futur project, Vice Versa grant D-54165 (Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française), in partnership between SOFIFRAN and the Conseil scolaire Viamonde.
A musician guided the students in discovering the djembe: where to place their hands, the low and high tones, then a rhythm played all together. The workshop is one of the world music activities that showcase the cultural heritage of francophone communities.
