Djembe drumming, dance, science, movement and a field trip: students at École élémentaire Du Chêne, Patricia-Picknell, Horizon Jeunesse and Dyane-Adam lived a full year of activities in French, as part of the Vice Versa D-54196 grant.
Activities carried out as part of the Vice Versa D-54196 grant (Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française), in partnership between SOFIFRAN and the Conseil scolaire Viamonde.
All through the school year, students at École élémentaire Du Chêne, Patricia-Picknell, Horizon Jeunesse and Dyane-Adam experienced their francophone life in a different way: a circle of djembes in the gym, dance steps picked up all together, pinwheels made in class to understand the wind, stretching and movement courses for well-being, a big day outdoors and a field trip aboard a Hercules aircraft.
These activities meet the project’s three goals: bringing creation and expression to life in French, promoting students’ physical, mental and social well-being, and strengthening the partnership between SOFIFRAN and the Conseil scolaire Viamonde.
