As part of its new project “Building capacity for equitable services for refugees and newcomers”, SOFIFRAN held a community mobilization session that brought together more than thirty participants on July 26, 2026, at Église Sacré-Coeur in Welland.
At this gathering, community worker Nana Ngobila presented SOFIFRAN’s services along with the GBA+ approach. The session also made room for discussion and a question-and-answer period with participants.
The conversations were rich and lively. Community members shared their needs, their expectations and their suggestions about certain services. With an officer from CERF Niagara on hand, ideas were also put forward about employability.
This gathering was marked by constructive, forward-looking feedback, in a spirit of dialogue, collaboration and ongoing improvement of the services offered to the community.
